MOSE LAKE - On Wednesday, Big Bend Community College in Moses Lake notified its staff and students about an employee who tested positive for COVID-19.

In an internal email, Kyle Foreman, Director of Campus Safety and Security, stated that the school’s human resources department was notified that a staff member had contracted the virus.

That individual was last on campus on September 15.

As a result, individuals who are considered to be close contacts have been asked to quarantine for at least 14 days.

Custodial staff have deep-cleaned all areas where the infected person worked or had visited last week.

The college says it takes this matter very seriously and has taken all the precautions and measures needed to safeguard students, faculty, and staff.

There was a fatal accident on 9-18-20 at the AirB&B located at 634 N Crestview Drive, Moses Lake. A man died after a large tree he was cutting down for the owner fell directly on him. Very sad....
