SOAP LAKE - The boil water order has been lifted for the city of Soap Lake after last week’s water main breaks.
Soap Lake police confirmed Tuesday afternoon residents on the city’s water system no longer need to boil their tap water after test results came back normal.
The boil water order was issued Oct. 3 after four separate water main breaks in the area of Main Avenue West. Two of the four breaks were service lines into homes. City crews were able to make repairs and get the water system back up and running later that night.
During the boil order, the Soap Lake Police Department donated bottled water to both the Soap Lake School District and McKay Health center.
