Brush truck rollover

ROYAL CITY - State troopers say with a full 750-gallon water tank, a Grant County Fire District 10 firefighter was driving too fast for conditions when her brush engine rolled on the way to a brush fire near Royal City.

Samantha M. Wright, 30, was driving the 1992 International brush engine south on Road I Southwest just before noon Sunday. Troopers say Wright locked up the brakes and lost control, causing the vehicle to roll. The crash happened about three miles west of Royal City.

Wright was extricated by fellow firefighters and was transported to Samaritan Hospital in Moses Lake with minor injuries.

State troopers reported any citations are pending. Information from the state patrol investigation has been turned over to Grant County Fire District 10 to conduct an internal investigation, according to Trooper John Bryant.
