WENATCHEE – One man was arrested on DUI charges following a three-vehicle collision Monday night in Wenatchee.

According to the Washington State Patrol (WSP), 28-year-old Zachary R. Harper of Wenatchee ran a red light while driving westbound on Fifth St. in his 2007 Nissan Titan pickup truck shortly before 11 p.m.

As a result of the alleged infraction, Harper’s truck struck an SUV which was southbound on Chelan Ave., which subsequently struck a Toyota Corolla that was making a right turn onto Chelan Ave.

Harper was issued a citation for failure to obey a traffic control device and placed under arrest for DUI by the WSP, who responded to the accident along with officers from the Wenatchee Police Department.

One other individual involved in the incident was treated for minor injuries at the scene.

The intersection of Chelan Ave. and Fifth St. was blocked for roughly 30 minutes while the crash was being investigated.
