EPHRATA - Five people were injured in a Sunday morning collision on state Route 28 in Ephrata.
Karen D. McFall, a 58-year-old Castlerock, Wash. woman, was driving a 1994 Ford Taurus, stopped at the intersection of Alder Street and SR 28. She reportedly failed to yield the right of way and entered the intersection, where her car was struck by an eastbound 2013 Chrysler 200, according to the Washington State Patrol.
McFall was taken to Columbia Basin Hospital for her injuries. Her two passengers, 54-year-old Soap Lake resident Brenda Hernandez and 57-year-old Ephrata resident David See, were both hurt and taken to the Ephrata hospital.
The driver of the Chrysler, 55-year-old Ephrata resident Roger Christensen, and his passenger, 45-year-old Ephrata resident Christine Miller, were both taken to Samaritan Hospital in Moses Lake.
The state patrol cited McFall for failure to yield.
