Andrew Deering and granddaughter

MOSES LAKE - Only $2,000 has been raised to support a fallen firefighter’s family after he tragically passed away over Labor Day weekend.

The GoFundMe was started by Sabrina Persinger three days ago following the memorial that honored the late Andrew Deering, a former Moses Lake firefighter who took his own life after a long battle with PTSD and depression.

Money raised will benefit the loved ones Deering left behind. A fundraising goal of $50,000 has been set, but so far, only $2,120 has been raised.

Andrew spent over 20 years with the Moses Lake Fire Department. He leaves behind his wife, Tasiya, an administrative coordinator with the Moses Lake Fire Department, his three children, and grandchild.
