WENATCHEE – Michelle Price, superintendent for the North Central Educational Service District and former Moses Lake School District superintendent, has been selected as the National Education Administrator of the year.

Price will be honored at the annual National Association of Educational Office Professionals awards banquet during its annual conference in Bloomington, Minn. on July 18.

“Dr. Price is a recognized school leader who serves her colleagues selflessly not because of the recognition she receives, but because she knows it is the right thing to do,” current Moses Lake schools Superintendent Josh Meek stated. “Dr. Price has an uncanny set of personal skills that make her an ethical leader who genuinely cares more about those around her, and those that she serves, than her own interests.”

The national award comes after Price was named the 2018 Washington Association of Educational Office Professionals Administrator of the Year. Price was entered into the national competition and was selected from nominations across the country.”

Price was nominated for the award by Moses Lake resident Melisa White.

“Dr. Price is a great leader, motivator and cheerleader for the educational support professionals in the districts she supervises...she is an exemplary leader in every role she has undertaken,” White stated.

Price, who worked for the Moses Lake School District for 27 years including superintendent until 2017, as served as superintendent of North Central ESD, based in Wenatchee, for the past year.
