MOSES LAKE - More than 100 firearms were seized from a property near Moses Lake during service of a federal search warrant last week.
Norman Clary, 54, is charged in Grant County Superior Court with 10 counts of second-degree unlawful possession of a firearm, and one count each of possession of methamphetamine and heroin. His bail has been set at $100,000.
Clary has four previous felony convictions including drug-related convictions in 1998 and 2005, unlawful possession of a firearm in 1997 and taking a motor vehicle without permission in 1986.
On the morning of Oct. 2, the Moses Lake Regional Tactical Response Team, Street Crimes unit and ATF agents served a search warrant at a property in the 4400 block of Road L Northeast in connection to alleged narcotics sales and firearm possession, according to court records.
Clary was located exiting his trailer on the property and was taken into custody.
Law enforcement reportedly seized in excess of 100 firearms from the property from several buildings and trailers, according to court records. A small amount of meth and heroin was also seized.
Clary reportedly admitted to “accepting” firearms from other people and storing them on the property.
Clary also reportedly told investigators “he used to be a methamphetamine dealer but stopped selling approximately one year ago” after his supplier was arrested and eventually pleaded guilty to federal charges, according to court records.
