MOSES LAKE - Moses Lake police are investigating a possible shooting Friday afternoon at Blue Heron Park.
At approximately 4 p.m., officers were dispatched to the park on the south side of Moses Lake.
According to MLPD Capt. Dave Sands, officers responded to the report of a 29-year-old female who claimed to have been shot at by someone in a passing car near the park. Sands tells iFIBER ONE News it is unknown at this time if she was actually hit or sustained any injuries.
Sands also indicated that the statements of several witnesses conflicted with information provided by the alleged victim about the reported gunfire and that shortly after the shots were said to have been fired, the boyfriend of the alleged victim called his mother and left the scene of the incident.
MLPD is still investigating the report and says they have no suspects or motives at this time.
Blue Heron Park is 24-acre park along the Moses Lake waterfront located on the west side of the I-90 bridge.
