SEATTLE- The Rowing World Cup III will be taking place in Rotterdam, Netherlands and among those in attendance will be Moses Lake native, Madison Molitor. Molitor made the cut for the competition, which starts Friday, and is one of the 12 rowers the University of Washington will see attend.

Molitor will compete in the Men’s 8+ competition, where he’ll represent the United States of America along with college teammates, Chris Carlson, Andrew Gaard, and Samuel Halbert. The University of Washington is will see 12 current and former athletes in attendance, seven men and five women. They will represent five different countries, USA, Great Britain, Germany, New Zealand and the Netherlands. Molitor and his three teammates are the only Americans UW will see compete in the competition.

Over 700 athletes hailing from 42 different countries will attend the three-day regatta this weekend. The site of the event is the Willem Alexanderbeen race course north of Rotterdam.

Portions of the final day of the regatta, Sunday July 14, will air on television in the United States on the NBC Olympic Channel from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. PT. You can also stream on NBCSports.com with the proper subscriptions.
