WENATCHEE – The Board of Directors at the Pybus Foundation have announced the selection of a new Transitional Executive Director for the non-profit organization.

Leslie LePore-Freytag will succeed departing Executive Director, Steve Robinson, and will lead both the foundation and Pybus Pubic Market into their respective futures.

LePore-Freytag currently heads her own advisory firm in the Wenatchee Valley called the Freytag Group, which she also founded with the goal of providing assistance to local businesses.

“I am honored to continue the work of building our community treasure focusing on our mission to offer a platform for farmers, artisans and non-profit organizations,” said LePore-Freytag. “And I am especially looking forward to partnering with all the great merchants and restaurateurs of Pybus Public Market.”.

Pybus co-founder JoAnn Walker said of LePore-Freytag’s appointment, “The opportunity presented itself to hire someone who serves on our board to serve in a transitional capacity to help us prepare for future growth and ultimately the hiring of a new Executive Director.”

LePore-Freytag will assume her new position with Pybus on July 1.

Robinson, who has is the non-profit’s original executive director and has served in that capacity for the past seven years, will officially depart from the post on Aug. 15. He will work with LePore-Freytag within the six week overlap of her start date and his last day to help in transitioning and preparing her for the role of executive director.
