SCHWANA - A Quincy man was injured in a collision involving a semi-truck Saturday morning on state Route 243 in Schwana.

Victor G. Villagra, a 33-year-old Quincy man, was driving a 2003 GMC Yukon south on SR 243 near Morrison Road. Villagra reportedly crossed the centerline and struck an northbound 2013 Freightliner semi-truck, according to the Washington State Patrol.

Both vehicles came to rest on the shoulder.

Villagra was injured and airlifted to Confluence Health-Central Washington Hospital in Wenatchee. Two passengers in his SUV were not hurt.

The driver of the semi-truck, 39-year-old Kenneth Redlin, was also not injured.

The state patrol cited Villagra for first-degree negligent driving.
