REDWOOD CITY, Calif. – Part of the thrill of purchasing new Madden NFL games is seeing old faces in new places and to be able to play as your favorite rookies in the game. The upcoming game, Madden NFL 20, is being harsher on rookies than in years past, but the Seattle Seahawks’ second-round pick D.K. Metcalf, is one of the best rookies in the game.
Metcalf enters the game with a 76 overall, which ties him for the sixth-highest overall given to a rookie in the game. Metcalf is tied for second among rookies to have the highest speed rating, at 95. Only the Baltimore Ravens’ first-round pick, Marquise Brown, is faster. He also has 93 acceleration and he’s the strongest rookie wide out, with 77 strength.
The upcoming game is being unforgiving on rookies this year. Six players who were taken in the first round are rated with a 70 overall or lower. The lowest rated first-round pick comes in at 63 overall, Giants quarterback Daniel Jones, who went No. 6 in the draft. Among those six players under 70 include the Seahawks’ first pick, L.J Collier, who’s rated at 69 overall.
Fans will be able to purchase Madden NFL 20 and play as Metcalf and the Seahawks on August 2.
