Skyhawks in action!

WENATCHEE – The Wenatchee Valley Skyhawks will play host to the Reno Express at Town Toyota Center on Sunday in round one of the American West Football Conference playoffs.

The Skyhawks faced Reno four times during the 2019 regular season in consecutive home-and-home contests between March 28 and May 4.

Wenatchee won two of the meetings during that stretch, both at home by final scores of 35-21 and 60-20. The Skyhawks lost their two road tilts with the Express, however. Dropping the first by a final count of 57-12 and then suffering a 1-0 forfeit in the second matchup.

Overall, Wenatchee was 4-2 on home turf during the regular season, outscoring their opponents by a margin of 104 points (303-199).

On the road, Reno was 2-4 overall through the 2019 campaign and were outscored by their opponents 253-137.

The winner of Sunday’s contest will advance to the league championship against either the currently winless Tri-Cities Fire or the currently undefeated Idaho Horsemen.
