Blewett Pass crash

BLEWETT PASS – State troopers say a driver of a semi-truck was eating a taco when he lost control and spilled a load of bark on Blewett Pass Wednesday afternoon.

The semi-truck ended up in the ditch along Highway 97 about noon Wednesday, partially blocking the highway for about three hours as crews cleaned up the bark.

Troopers say the driver was not injured.

On Monday, another semi-truck overturned in the same area of Blewett Pass, spilling about 56,000 pounds of apples onto the highway after the truck and trailer rolled, according to the state patrol. That driver was also not hurt.
