EPHRATA – Halloween events are scheduled throughout Grant County on Thursday, from trick-or-treating, haunted houses and more.


Downtown trick-or-treating runs from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at participating businesses, sponsored by the Ephrata Chamber of Commerce.

The American Legion is hosting a trunk-or-treat and games at the legion post, 276 Eighth Ave. NW from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.

The United Methodist Church, located at 117 C St. NW, is also hosting a trunk-or-treat from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.

The Ephrata Eagles are also hosting a trunk-or-treat from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Rotary Parking lot, located at First Avenue Northwest and Basin Street.

Ephrata High School ASB is hosting a trick-or-treat event inside the high school from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Columbia Basin Hospital is offering free X-Rays of candy from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the hospital.


The annual downtown trick-or-treating, sponsored by the Moses Lake Business Association, is from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. along West Third Avenue.

Moses Lake High School is again holding Halloween night events from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the high school. The event is sponsored by the school ASB, open to kids age 2 to 11. Admission is free but students are taking donations for the Moses Lake Food Bank and UNICEF.

Grocery Outlet is having its annual Halloween party from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.


Quincy’s downtown trick-or-treating, sponsored by the Quincy Valley Chamber of Commerce, is from 4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. at participating businesses.

The fourth annual Quincy community trunk-or-treat at Ancient Lakes Elementary School is from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. The cost is $5 per child and includes dinner and carnival games. Adult dinners are available for $3.


The annual trunk-or-treat is from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. The event is held at Akins Harvest Foods at 115 Daisy St. S. Soap Lake police, the Washington State Patrol, Grant County Sheriff’s Office, Grant County Fire District 7 and AMR will be on hand.

The Living Nightmare Haunted Attraction, located at 19426 Lakeview Place NW this year,  is open from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m.


The Mattawa Police Department and Grant County Fire District 8 are hosting a trunk-or-treat from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Mattawa City Hall.
