MOSES LAKE - Two drivers were injured in a head-on collision Friday night on state Route 17 about 11 miles south of Moses Lake.

Joey Flores, a 29-year-old Moses Lake resident, was driving a 2019 Chevrolet Silverado south on SR 17 just before midnight when he reportedly crossed the centerline and collided with a northbound 2020 Freightliner semi-truck, according to the Washington State Patrol.

State troopers say the driver of the semi-truck, 56-year-old Walla Walla resident Kevin Ott, had attempted to slow to avoid the collision.

Both Flores and Ott were transported by Samaritan Hospital in Moses Lake for their injuries.

Troopers continue to investigate the wreck and reported Flores was impaired.
