SEATTLE- The Pac-12 is going to be a wild ride this season. With the reigning champs, the Washington Huskies losing most of their offensive production from last season, to Justin Herbert’s senior year, to Utah’s meteoric rise. The only thing the coaches could agree on during the preseason awards on Wednesday, was that no one was sure what would happen.

Oregon edged out Washington to take the North division by one point, 190 to 189. Both of them received 17 votes to finish in first but Utah finished with 33 first-place votes. If Utah wins the Pac-12, they would be only the second South division team to do so in conference history, the other being Sam Darnold’s USC Trojans in 2017. USC for two first place votes and Washington State got one.

Utah received 12 votes to win the Pac-12 Championship while Oregon received 11 and Washington got nine.

Despite losing their starting quarterback and starting running back, the Huskies still have plenty of talent. They have two all-conference first teamers on the offensive line, Nick Harris and Wenatchee native, Trey Adams. On defense, cornerback Myles Bryant made the first team.

The all Pac-12 second team boasts tight end Hunter Bryant while Aaron Fuller, Jaxson Kirkland, Levi Onwurzurike and Elijah Molden all received honorable mentions.

The North division looks like it’s going to come down to Washington or Oregon, who will play each other in Seattle on October 19.
