WENATCHEE - Our news partner, Newsradio 560 KPQ, reports that Winco Foods met with City of Wenatchee staff last week during a pre-application meeting.

City officials say the meeting allows staff to inform Winco of the requirements needed in order to occupy the building as a business.

“When they’re remodeling a building with what I’m sure is somewhere in the neighborhood of $8-$10 million worth of improvements, that’s significant.” explained Kuntz, to Newsradio 560 KPQ. “We just got to work with them and make sure it’s done in accordance with our standards. So far so good.”

Kuntz says Winco wants to use the current footprint of the building rather than expanding it. Kuntz says part of the remodel plan includes “lots of landscaping.”

Winco is the best grocery the world ever had. Try it once and you'll never shop anywhere else. Love, Love Love Winco! Best: employees, customer service, produce, meat, 1,000's of items in bins at x low prices and the whole place is bright, clean and cheerful.
