WENATCHEE – The Numerica Performing Arts Center (PAC) in Wenatchee has announced the hiring of a new executive director.
Robert Cox, a senior operations manager with Microsoft who relocated to the region in 2017, will assume the position on July 1.
“As a resident of Wenatchee, I have enjoyed several productions at the Numerica PAC,” said Cox is a press release. “I have a strong understanding of the importance of this organization within the community and of its place in the economic health of the downtown area.”
Cox enters his new role with the PAC as no stranger to the theater. He possesses a master’s degree in fine arts from Rutgers University in New Brunswick, NJ and has served as artistic director for the 12 Miles West Theater Company of New York City for the last decade.
“I am excited to partner with the board of directors as we seek to make the Numerica Performing Arts Center a vibrant, transformative theater where all our communities feel welcomed, engaged, entertained, and inspired,” said Cox.
In addition to his theater experience, Cox has also seen employment with a number of large companies, such as JPMorgan Chase, Smith Barney, Merrill Lynch, and real estate investment firm CBRE.
PAC board of directors president Denise Brooks said Cox was selected from a wealth of applicants from across the United States.
Cox succeeds the PAC’s former executive director, Matt Cadman, who stepped down from the position in March.
