BRITISH COLUMBIA – The Wenatchee Wild began their tune up for the 2019-20 season with three exhibition games over the weekend at various locations around British Columbia.

On Friday, Wenatchee downed the Chilliwack Chiefs by the final count of 3-1 at the Hope and District Recreation Centre in Hope. Forwards Brian Adams, Trevor Grabriel and Hunter Hastings all had goals for the Wild, with Grabriel’s being the game-winner at 2:32 of period three. Goaltender Noah Altman iced 59:32 in the crease in picking up the win.

The following day, the Wild’s sticks were silenced by the Langley Rivermen in a 5-0 loss at the George Preston Recreation Centre in Langley. The contest saw Waterloo, Ontario native Daniel Chenard get his first minutes in the blue paint of the pre-season.

Wenatchee wrapped up the weekend at the Sungod Recreation Centre in Delta to skate with the Coquitlam Express. The Wild turned on five red lights in the game via as many different scorers, including forwards Dallas Farrell, Matt Dorsey, Tyler Young, Jack Bayless, and Nicholas Chmelevski.

Unfortunately for Wenatchee, Coquitlam’s offense rolled up a snowman on the scoreboard and topped the Wild by the final count of 8-5. The contest featured goalie Michael Brown’s first minutes of the pre-season in the crease.

Wenatchee’s pre-season travels through British Columbia continue this Friday at the South Surrey Arena, where the club will skate against the Surrey Eagles.
