GRANT COUNTY -- The Dish Network could not reach an agreement with Northwest Broadcasting, the owner of local FOX (KAYU) broadcasting, and will no longer carry the channel starting today. This includes games nomally aired for the Seattle Seahawks.
This news comes one day after FOX announced they have a record 6 billion dollar agreement in theory with the LA Dodgers to broadcast their baseball games for the next 25 years. That would mean FOX would pay over 1 million dollars per game to air Dodger's baseball.
Negotiations also failed between FOX and Direct TV earlier in the year, prior to the start of the Seahawks Football season.
iFIBER TV subscribers will be uneffected by these developments and FOX (KAYU), including Seattle Seahawk games, will continue to be available.
