LEAVENWORTH - Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife police are seeking information after a deer was found with an arrow sticking out of its neck in Leavenworth.

Officers located the young buck lying in some brush with a full-length arrow in its neck. Firefighters from a nearby fire station assisted in keeping the deer from running toward the street while the animal was immobilized.

Crews were able to remove the arrow, which had a field/target point on it. The deer got up and immediately started feeding again, according to WDFW police.

Officers contacted nearby residents in an effort to identify a suspect. Anyone with information is asked to call WDFW police at 509-754-4624.
