UPDATE: All customers' power had been restored as of 11 a.m.

UPDATE: By 9:50 a.m. power to an estimated 558 customers had been restored, but electricity was still out for about 380 households north of 19th Street, the PUD said.

EAST WENATCHEE — A power failure has left more than 900 homes and businesses without electricity Wednesday morning, and left the Douglas County PUD searching for a cause.

As of 9:15 a.m. the outage along the Sunset Highway corridor in northern East Wenatchee was still affecting 938 customers, and its source was unidentified.

The outage area is centered on Highway 28, roughly from the intersection with Highway 2 south to 13th Street Northeast. Power loss was initially detected at 6:07 a.m., the PUD said.
