SOAP LAKE - A Soap Lake man was injured in a motorcycle crash Saturday afternoon on state Route 17 about seven miles north of Soap Lake.

Scott J. Stokoe, a 69-year-old man, was riding a 2007 Harley-Davidson north on SR 17. He reportedly attempted to pass a vehicle that also began to pass a third vehicle and was forced to swerve to avoid a collision, according to the Washington State Patrol.

Troopers say Stokoe and his motorcycle collided with the guardrail.

Stokoe was taken to Samaritan Hospital in Moses Lake for his injured.

The state patrol is investigating the crash. No citations are expected for Stokoe.
