MOSES LAKE – A Moses Lake man was arrested on Tuesday, March 26, after he allegedly brandished a gun when a fellow motorist flipped him off.

The victim told Grant County Sheriff’s deputies that he was driving in the 1200 block of Pershing Road at about 6 p.m. when a vehicle cut him off. The victim reportedly displayed his middle finger in the direction of the other driver, at which point the suspect allegedly held up a pistol.

The victim provided police with an accurate vehicle registration along with a description of the two males riding in a blue Chevrolet Cavalier, according to Grant County Sheriff’s Chief Deputy Ryan Rectenwald.

The Cavalier was stopped on Broadway Avenue and a firearm matching the description was reportedly seen lying on the driver's seat.

The driver, 20-year-old Celton M.Z. Kimmell, was booked on charges of possession of a firearm by a minor and possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver.

The vehicle was collected as evidence.
