Wildfire near Road 12

MOSES LAKE – At least 200 acres of brush land burned during a Sunday afternoon wildfire about 10 miles north of Moses Lake.

Grant County fire districts 5 and 13 responded to the fire near Road 12 Northeast and North Stratford Road at about 4 p.m.

Strong winds pushed the flames south until the fire was contained Sunday evening.

No structures were damaged and no injuries were reported, according to district 5 Chief Dan Smith.

The Grant County Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating the cause of the fire. The fire appears to have started along Road 12 Northeast.
