Moses Lake Rodeo Roundup

MOSES LAKE - The Moses Lake Rodeo Roundup wrapped up Saturday. The finale was rather anticlimactic as the majority of top cowpokes had moved on to other stops on the circuit.

That gave the livestock the upper hand, and it was evident in the first competition of the evening as team ropers had trouble lassoing their prey.

Barrel racers had difficulty navigating the course with many making wrong turns on their approach and knocking over barriers to boot.

There were only a couple saddle bronc and bull rides as well and again the animals won the battle.

The All-Round Cowboy award and 1,500 hard earned greenbacks went to Morgan Grant from Granton, Ontario.

Zeb Lanham from Sweet, Idaho was the top bull rider. Tyrell Smith from Cascade, Mont. and Tyrel Larsen from Manitoba tied for first in the saddle bronc competition.

The night ended with a bang though as fireworks lit up the night sky, and the high-flying two and four-wheel acrobatics from Cody Cavanaugh and Company had the crowd on the edge of their seats.
