SPOKANE – Daniel Sinchuk had the lone goal for Moses Lake soccer as the Chiefs suffered their first loss of the season Tuesday night 3-1 to Lewis and Clark.

Coming off a 5-3 win against Ferris on Saturday, Moses Lake’s offense struggled, held scoreless until the 48th minute when Sinchuk scored on a penalty kick, his third goal in three games this season.

Lewis and Clark opened up a 2-0 lead at half on goals from Gabe Keller and Tyler Koffinke.

Keller’s second goal early in the second half gave Lewis and Clark a 3-0 lead.

Moses Lake goaltender Eddie Reyes finished the game with nine saves.

The Chiefs open Columbia Basin Big 9 league play Friday night at 7 p.m. at home against Eisenhower.
