EPHRATA – Ephrata baseball outscored Toppenish 25-0 to sweep a doubleheader Saturday at Johnson-O’Brien Stadium.
The Tigers won game one 15-0 and collected 12 hits in the game, led by Zac Berryman who went 3-for-4 with five RBIs and a run scored. Leadoff hitter Austin Webb went 2-for-2 and scored four runs in the game.
Ephrata starting pitcher Steven Louie was perfect in his three innings, striking out seven. Travis Robinson allowed just one hit over two scoreless innings in relief.
In game two, the Tigers scored 10 runs in the first inning and three pitchers combined to allow just one hit in the 10-0 win.
Berryman had another strong game at the plate, going 3-for-3 with two RBIs and a run scored. Cole Spencer led the Tigers with four RBIs, collecting two hits and scoring two runs.
Ephrata pushed their season record to 5-0, 3-0 in league play and are tied with East Valley atop the Central Washington Athletic Conference.
The Tigers have outscored their opponents 60-4 in the five games.
