EAST WENATCHEE - Quincy battled Eastmont to a 1-1 score on the pitch in East Wenatchee Saturday.

The 4A powerhouse Wildcats got on the board first 13 minutes into the fuss.

The 2A Jacks still trying implement a system that allows better spacing and scoring opportunities, were held without a goal through the first 80 minutes.

But Axel Medina got the equalizer off a Francisco Alejandrez assist in stoppage time to level it.

"I thought we played one of our better matches against Eastmont even though we are still trying to perfect a formation that allows us to defend and attack from as well, "coach Arturo Guerro said. "We got down early, but kept pressing to draw even."

Quincy has one win and two ties on their early nonleague schedule.

The Jacks head to Ellensburg today for a friendly with the Bulldogs.

Quincy opens league play against Prosser at home April 9.
