ELLENSBURG – Quincy got first half touchdowns from Johan Farias and Travis Harris, but the Boys’ from the Basin came up on the short end of a 31-14 score at Ellensburg Thursday.
The Jacks gave the No. 2 Ranked Bulldogs fits the first 16 minutes of the contest, down 7-6 at the end of the opening quarter and dead even, 14-14 at intermission.
But a locker room gut-check by highly touted Ellensburg produced 17 unanswered second half points, and the Jacks season came to an end.
Quincy’s Kaden Murphy completed six of 11 passes for 117 yards and one touchdown. Ullyses Ramirez grounded out 121 yards on 23 carries. Harris finished with 51 yards on 10 carries and a score. Farias hauled in two Murphy passes for 57 yards and a touchdown.
