Lady Tigers Softball

QUINCY -The Lady Tigers swept a doubleheader from Quincy to move to 4-0 in the CWAC league standings.

Mikayla Wood and Becca Helsley combined for six strikeouts and gave up nine hits in a 10-9 Ephrata win in Game 1.

Wood led the Tiger offensive attack going 3-for-4 at the plate with 2RBI. She nearly hit for the cycle with a single, double and a triple in the ball game.

Morgan Williams and Helsley combined for a 4-hitter in a 24-6 shellacking of the Jacks in the night cap.

Brooke Bazaldua had the hot stick for Ephrata with four hits in four at bats with a double and 4 RBI. Alyiah Derr was 3-for-5 with three runs scored and 5 RBI.

Ephrata is back on the diamond for a home twinbill with Othello Saturday. First pitch is 11 a.m.
