SPOKANE - Ephrata’s Aaron Whalen shot a 66 at Liberty Lake to lead the 2A Boys tourney by three strokes after Day 1.

Whalen shot the lowest round in all four classifications. Mason Buchert carded a 79 to advance to Round 2 with Whalen today.

Josh Johnson missed the cut by a stroke.

Ephrata Girls

The Lady Tigers turned in an outstanding performance at Meadowood with three golfers in the Top 10 after the first day of competition.

Freshman Phenom Kenedee Peters shot 71 and has a six stroke lead going into today’s competition.

Kendall Sage carded an 83. Katie Hilliard was one stroke back with an 84. All three made the cut.

Warden

Connor Haynes from Warden is one stroke off the lead with a 73 going into round two in the 1B/2B Boys tournament at Columbia Point in Richland.
