MOSES LAKE - Manta Ray Aquatics made a big impression at the Inland Empire Swimming Championships at the Moses Lake High School Pool.

The team was led by a memorable performance from 12 year-old Zachary Washburn who touched first in eight events.

Washburn broke two Inland Empire records in the 100 and 200 Freestyle competition along the way that had stood since 1995. He also took the High Points Award in his age group.

Cole Lindberg (12) finished his winter season with three Top 8 finishes. He placed 3rd in the 50 and 100 Butterfly, and 7th in the 50 Backstroke.

The 400 Medley Relay team of Jordan Pack, Noah Heaps, Kyle Jorgenson and Garrett Lake placed 6th.

The girls team earned 6th place finishes in the 50 breaststroke, and the 50 and 1650 free.
