MOSES LAKE - The Manta Rays initial ThankSwimming Open Meet at the Moses Lake High School pool was a big success.

Seven teams from around the region participated in the event, with the Rays finishing third overall.

"The meet proved to be one of the most successful performances in Manta Ray Aquatics history," coach Steve Washburn said. "We had 123 Top 8 finishes with 13 swimmers placing first in individual swims."

Zachary Washburn led the boys team with six first place swims. On the girls side it was Cora Dana earning four first place finishes.

The Manta Rays donated a portion of the proceeds from the meet to the Boys & Girls Club. Manta Ray Aquatics also received food donations during the meet that will be passed along to the Moses Lake Food Bank.
