TACOMA – Moses Lake held Camas to just 29 percent shooting in their 46-36 state quarterfinal win Thursday night.

Jessica Olson led the Chiefs with 21 points and shot a perfect 7-for-7 from the field, including four three-pointers. Jamie Loera added 14 points, five assists and three blocks in the win.

Moses Lake faces Glacier Peak Friday night at 9 p.m. for a chance to move on to the 4A state championship game on Saturday. Glacier Park is coming off a 48-47 win over Sunnyside.

The Moses Lake offense was in rhythm early, outscoring Camas 18-7 in the first quarter and holding a 34-17 lead at half, shooting better than 54 percent from the field. Olson had 16 of her 21 points in the first half.

The Chiefs offense stalled in the second half, scoring just 12 points and hitting on 2-of-14 shots, one by Ellie Mayo and a three from Olson. Loera struggled in the second half, shooting 0-for-7 and scoring just two points.

Camas fought back to get within eight in the fourth quarter before Olson’s three stretched the lead to 11.
