MOSES LAKE – Moses Lake baseball won its district play-in game 4-1 Tuesday against Sunnyside behind a complete game from Jordan Rios.

Rios gave up the lone Sunnyside run in the top of the first but shut down the Grizzlies, allowing just one hit over the final six innings. Sunnyside’s Isaac Briones’ RBI single scored Dylan Clampitt in the first.

The Chiefs took a 2-1 lead in the third inning on RBI singles from Cody Goodwin and Ezekyel Ochoa.

Moses Lake added a run in both the fourth and fifth inning, including an RBI single from Dominic Signorelli in the fifth.

The Chiefs move on to host Eastmont on Friday at 5 p.m. at Larson Field. A win would put Moses Lake into the district semifinal game set for Saturday against Wenatchee.
