Quincy Jackrabbits soccer

SUMNER – Quincy soccer secured its spot in the 2A state championship game with a 2-0 win against Lindbergh on Friday night.

The Jackrabbits posted their second shutout in a row and will face defending champion Archbishop Murphy on Saturday at 5 p.m. in Sumner.

Quincy took a 1-0 lead going into halftime on a goal in the 37th minute from Kevin Rios.

The Jackrabbit defense held strong in the second half and goaltender Johan Farias made three huge saves.

Danny Cruz gave Quincy a 2-0 lead in the final minutes on the semifinal game.

The loss was Lindbergh’s first of the season.
