MOSES LAKE – The Runnin’ Vikings put together a 10-0 run late in the fourth quarter to close out Wenatchee Valley 84-70 Wednesday night.

The win gives Big Bend its fourth straight victory as Jacob McCord continued to put up big numbers, scoring 32 points and grabbing 15 rebounds for his 15th double-double on the season. Jai Jai Ely added 18 points to along with 8 rebounds.

The Vikings led 45-35 at half behind 19 first-half points from McCord.

Wenatchee Valley stuck around, cutting the deficit to just seven late in the fourth quarter before McCord scored on back-to-back possessions to start Big Bend’s 10-0 run. The Vikings held Wenatchee Valley to just 33 percent shooting in the second half.

Big Bend improves to 7-2 in the East Region, 15-7 overall, and sits tied for second in the East with Walla Walla.

The Vikings head on the road to Blue Mountain on Saturday at 4 p.m. Blue Mountain has lost their last five games and is just 2-7 in the East.
