MOSES LAKE – A 27-7 run in the second half lifted the Big Bend Runnin’ Vikings over Treasure Valley 104-85 Monday night.
Big Bend’s Jacob McCord posted his 14th double-double on the season, scoring 22 points and grabbing 16 rebounds. Joey Andrews led the Vikings with 24 points and Jai Jai Ely added 20.
The game looked out of reach early as Big Bend opened a 30-10 lead in the first half. Treasure Valley closed out the half on an 11-1 run, nearly erasing a 38-27 deficit and trailed 39-38 at half.
Treasure Valley led 69-68 in the second half before the Vikings 27-7 run to lead 95-76. Big Bend outscored the Chukars 65-47 in the second half and shot 54 percent from the field.
The Vikings, now 6-2, 14-7 overall, sit in a three-way tie in second place in the East Region with North Idaho and Spokane, one game back of first place Walla Walla.
Big Bend hosts Wenatchee Valley on Wednesday. Tipoff is set for 8 p.m.
