EPHRATA – A 27-point third quarter helped Ephrata boys basketball knock off East Valley 77-63 Tuesday night.
Both teams struggled to find their shot in the first quarter as the Red Devils held a 17-16 lead.
The Tigers went up six in the second quarter but East Valley was able to cut the deficit to 35-33 at half.
Ephrata Cameron Clark hit three 3-pointers in the third quarter as the Tigers opened up a 62-51 lead heading into the fourth.
The Tigers capitalized on second-chance points in the fourth, holding off an East Valley comeback attempt.
Clark finished with 19 points and Jake Oxos had a game-high 21.
East Valley’s Juan Soto led the Red Devils with 19 points.
Ephrata heads to rival Quincy on Friday with tipoff at 7:15 p.m.
