MOSES LAKE – Big Bend couldn’t keep up with Walla Walla’s offense as the Vikings were blown out Saturday night 79-50.

The Vikings were held to less than 20 point in each of the first three quarters and shot just 27 percent for the game.

Walla held a 21-12 lead after the first quarter but held Big Bend to just seven second-quarter points to open a 38-19 lead at half.

The Vikings were again held to just seven points in the third quarter before the offense got rolling in the fourth, putting up 24 fourth-quarter points.

Callie Gronning led the Vikings with 13 points and added 5 rebounds. Hailey Garitty had 10 points and grabbed seven rebounds in the loss.

Walla Walla had three players score in double-digits, including 16 from Jade Skidmore, who also added 10 rebounds and seven assists.

Big Bend hosts North Idaho on Wednesday for a 6 p.m. tipoff.
