ELLENSBURG (VIDEO) – Central Washington University picked up a big home win over Western Oregon in Ellensburg Saturday.

Close to 5,000 fans were on hand to witness the Wildcats turn back the Wolves 24-20 at Tomlinson Stadium.

Quarterback Jake Nelson led the Central attack completing 29 of 48 passes for 264 yards and three touchdowns.

Centrals’ defensive unit turned in a solid effort on the day as well. The Wildcats picked off four Bergman passes, recovered a Wolves fumble, and held the team to 24 rushing yards on 28 carries.

Central takes travels to Arcata, Calif., Saturday to take on the Humboldt State Jacks.
