MOSES LAKE – Moses Lake baseball extended its win streak to six games with a 5-0 win over Wenatchee Tuesday night.
Starting pitcher Austin Valdez allowed just three hits while striking out three over six and two-third scoreless innings for the Chiefs.
Dominic Signorelli finished with two RBIs and run scored to lead Moses Lake.
The game was scoreless through three innings before a double steal allowed Caleb Juarez to score from third and Ezekyel Ochoa followed with an RBI triple to put the Chiefs up 2-0.
Signorelli’s double in the fifth inning scored two runs and Signorelli would later score in the inning on a Wenatchee Balk to make it 5-0.
Valdez allowed just one base runner the final two innings.
After starting the season with five straight losses, the Chiefs have improved their record to 9-4 in the Columbia Basin Big Nine, 9-6 overall, good enough for third in the Big Nine. Moses Lake heads to Wenatchee for a doubleheader on Friday.
