Royal Knights football

ROYAL CITY - The No.1 Royal Knights lived up to their lofty ranking with a 70-7 thrashing of Columbia-Burbank at home Friday.

Royal led 28-0 after the first quarter was in the books. The Knights added 35 in the second to go up 63-0 at intermission.

Royal took its foot off the accelerator in the second half and cruised to the lopsided win. The victory moves the Knights to 8-0 in the 1A SCAC East standings.

Royal closes out the regular season with a nonleague contest at home against Cascade.
