PENTICTON, B.C. - The Vees took the howl out of the Wild 6-1 in Penticton, B.C. Wednesday.

The home team got the opening goal just over four minutes into the contest off the stick of Chris Gerrie.

The Wild’s Mike Coyne rocketed home a loose puck at the 10 minute-mark to level it 1-all.

Penticton blew the match wide open with a three-goal second period. The Vees added two more in the third to skate away with the lopsided win.

Penticton outshot Wenatchee 38-32 on the night. Chase Perry recorded 32 saves for the Wild.

Wenatchee went 1-for-2 on the power play and was 2-of-3 on the penalty kill. The Wild are back on their home ice Friday when the Nanaimo Clippers come to town.
